Work Hardening programs are interdisciplinary and address the physical, functional,
behavioral and vocational needs of the injured worker, with the global outcome of
return to work. (Must also include psychological and/or vocational counseling).
As there can be a significant price variance and often confusion between Work Conditioning
and Work Hardening programs, Align Networks will review orders for Work Conditioning/Work
Hardening programs and work with you to help determine patient eligibility and ensure
ongoing progress is documented and/or assist in file closure.
This is important to help you ensure the patient is eligible for an advanced return
to work program, to make sure that they attend the most appropriate program and
also reduce unnecessary costs that can occur if a patient is initially referred
to the incorrect program or continues care inappropriately.
